Canon G5X Miami Adventure
CREATIVE OVERVIEW
​
Canon designed the G5X camera specifically for intrepid travelers. As a lightweight, compact camera it's a fantastic option for advanced amateurs or professionals who are seeking a something practical to take on the road.
​
Our objective was to raise awareness among the target demographic by creating impactful content that would resonate with their interests. Moreover, as a new model on the market, it was imperative that we educate consumers on the product's benefits and underscore that it functions at a level fit for their needs despite its unassuming stature.
​
To do so, we partnered with Rick Sammon, a world-renowned travel photographer with over 40 years of experience shooting on Canon cameras.
We met Rick in Miami and captured behind-the-scenes footage of his process. The final result was engaging content with tremendous educational value -- and beautiful aesthetics to boot.
MY ROLE
​
During this project I wore many hats. This included:

Selling-in our creative approach and production schedule.

Casting talent and negotiating the contract

Creating budget efficiencies in overall production cost.

Scouting locations ahead of shoot dates.
-
Briefing talent on speaking points.
-
Working as a Field Producer in Miami.
-
Reviewing and editing social assets before they went live.
-
Overseeing the social media promotion of the campaign during post-production.
