Long form version of the video - we also ran a :30 cutdown as a pre-roll media buy.

Close Enough Never Got You Anywhere

CREATIVE OVERVIEW

To promote the launch of the Canon 7D Mk II camera, we created a mini-documentary and BTS piece around wildlife photographer Charles Glatzer. Our job was to underscore how effective and imperative the camera was for anyone who takes nature and wildlife photography seriously.

We were able to secure production permits in Sonora Resort, where the indigenous wildlife included polar bears, black bears, porpoises, whales, eagles, and many other sought after species one would only be able to adequately document in rural Canada.

The assets we created  were lived on Canon's social channels as well as media placements in prominent vertical-relevant trades - most notably, National Geographic.

MY ROLE

My responsibilities included:

  • Casting and briefing talent on all production elements prior to the video shoot.

  • Identifying a shoot location that allowed us to work within a tight budget while still being able to achieve the shots we needed in rural Canada.

  • Overseeing execution of all social media elements.

  • Reviewing post-production video and photo edits.
